Setting Up The Windows Service
- Download the Remote Kitten App from the Apple App store.
- Download the Remote Kitten Windows Service from the downloads page.
- Run the windows installer and follow the wizard. If the installer warns you about an untrusted publisher please click the “Allow” button.
- Once the installation is complete run the program by selecting Remote Kitten from the start menu.
- The first time you run the program you may be asked if Remote Kitten should be allowed through the Windows firewall. Remote Kitten requires access to the network to operate. Please press “UNBLOCK” if you see this message.
- The Remote Kitten Windows application will start.
- Select the Set Password button. You must set a password before you can start the service. Enter your desired password and press OK.
- Press the Start Service button to start the service.
- Press the Close Window button to minimize Remote Kitten to the Windows task bar. The service will automatically start when windows starts. To view the configuration window again please click the remote kitten icon in the Windows task bar.
Connecting The Remote Kitten iPhone / iPod App
- Select the settings icon from your home screen.
- Scroll down to select the Remote Kitten option.
- Enter the IP Address of your Media Center computer. To find your IP address select Show My IP in the Windows application. If you are shown multiple IP addresses you should try each one until you find the one that works.
- Enter your password. It should match the password you entered when you set up the Windows Service.
